This big blue marble we live on is a wondrous creation. It has evolved over millions of years to the level that we now enjoy. It has systems in place to replenish literally everything needed to sustain life naturally. Magical systems that we are only beginning to understand.
Our lack of understanding has lead us to believe we can ignore the signs of the damage we have caused. Our ignorance also tricked us into believing that the changes we have caused are all part of the natural evolution of our planet and that we will survive no matter what happens to it. Many people around the world think that the Earth is so vast that we couldn't possibly be damaging it. Others believe it will be many lifetimes before we can actually do any significant damage.
Our planet is vast and does have the ability to recover from some of our short sightings. However, it was not designed for the abuses which we are now dishing out. The scales have already began to tip in favor of doom. The potential for disaster is eminent. We cannot continue this coarse of action without irreparable damage to our only home. Changes are taking place which will alter the path of the human race forever. Even if these changes pale in comparison to the natural disasters which occur annually, can we afford to take that risk?
We ask you to ponder this for a moment; Even if you don't believe in Global Warming, isn't there the slightest chance that we are having a negative impact on our planet? Wouldn't it behoove us to start doing something now? We can no longer sit idly by and hope for the best. We caused this damage and it's our job to reverse it, before it's to late. This opportunity may not last much longer.
Let's all get inspired and pitch-in a little, to retain the beauty of our only home. So that generations can enjoy it the way that we have.
