Mr. Gregory Taylor was inspired to start working on the idea of putting capacitors on motors in 1976, moving into the 1980's the vision for the company was started, and by 1995 he had invented the KVAR Energy Controller and received the patent for the methodology and sizing apparatus. The potential to help everyone everywhere save money on their electric bill was now a reality. Since that time over 600,000 units have been sold and only seven have been returned.

The KVAR EC is an electromagnetic control system that reduces the amount of non-productive current in your electrical system. Currently there are ninety-three different KVAR Energy Controllers that are custom built for each application. Each unit is built with the specifications collected from sizing your home or business.

How do KVAR Energy Controllers work?
The KVAR Energy Controller optimizes the Power Factor by reducing the amount of Reactive Power (kVAR) that the load draws from the utility company. KVAR Energy Controllers store that Reactive Power needed for the creation of the electromagnetic field (EMF) within the inductive load. As the motor operates, this reactive power is "pushed" and "pulled" to and from the KVAR EC 60 times a second (60 Hertz). Thus, through power factor optimization, the quantity of reactive power required to be purchased from the utility company is greatly reduced.
